Always a Showman

It is with great sadness that I find out about Marks passing!! Albeit a
year late. I visited St. Louis many times between 1997 and 2000 and
ALWAYS made my way to the Fox and the Hounds.

My abiding memory of Mark was one of a unique talented man whose
encyclopaedic knowledge of drink was staggering!! He also remembered me
every time I visited (From the UK) and even congratulated me on bringing
a different girl to the bar. "She's much prettier than the last one you
brought here!!"

I took my father to the Fox and the Hounds as it was he who lived in St
Louis at the time working for Boeing and Mark made it his duty to
educate him on various single malt whiskies!! He still owns an
autographed copy of "Bottled Wisdom"

Always a showman, hugely knowledgeable and a fabulous character. A
legend for the Chambord (Space Shuttle) cocktail alone!!

He will be sorely missed this side of the "little blue pond"
